Abstract

Article entitled "Using Make a Match in the Mufradat Learning Model". The research in this article is motivated by a phenomenon that in learning activities at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, students are weak in mastering and understanding the material, especially Arabic. Students consider Arabic very boring, as a result they are lazy and reluctant to learn Arabic. It is also caused by most teachers preferring to use the lecture model when teaching, which can result in decreased student learning outcomes. This study uses the make a match learning model which is expected to motivate students and make teaching and learning activities better. The purpose of this study is to describe the application of the make a match model in Arabic subjects, especially Mufradat, here MI Hidayatul Mubtadiin Tasikmadu Lowokwaru is used as a place of research. This study uses Qualitative research with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation. The steps for implementing the make a match model include: 1) The researcher prepares cards containing questions and answers, 2) The researcher distributes the question and answer cards to each student randomly, 3) Students are given the opportunity to think about the questions and answers from the cards they hold, 4) Students look for a partner from the cards they hold, 5) Students who have found a partner are asked to sit close together, 6) After all participants have found a partner and are sitting close together, students take turns reading the questions they get out loud to their friends. Furthermore, the questions are answered by the partner, 7) To check students' understanding, the researcher conducts an evaluation by giving practice questions to students. The results of the study used by implementing the make a match model have been very effective and students from the related Mi really like the make a match learning model.
