Abstract

Mahad Sunan Ampel Al Aly (MSAA) is an Islamic educational institution under the auspices of the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. All new students are required to reside at the school for approximately one year with the aim of creating a conducive atmosphere in educational development, forming polite student characters through religious activities, and improving language skills (Arabic and English) through language activities. Musrif (male mentor) and Musrifah (female mentor) have an important role in achieving these goals. They act as educators or tutors in language activities. To improve Musrif-Musrifah's competence in teaching, a language enrichment program is held once a week on weekends. This study aims to determine the effect of the language enrichment program on the practice of language activity learning at MSAA. The research method used is a case study method using observation and interview techniques. The results of the study indicate that the language enrichment program provides Musrif-Musrifah with the ability to organize time appropriately, mastery of sufficient material to be delivered to new students, gain knowledge about variations and language learning games, and motivation techniques.
