Abstract

Learning difficulties are conditions where there are obstacles during the learning process so that they cannot achieve optimal learning goals. These learning difficulties then become obstacles that students realize and do not realize. In the process of implementing learning at MTs Al Azhar Samarinda, students with different educational backgrounds are found. There are students who come from general elementary schools and there are students who previously attended Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) and Integrated Islamic Elementary School (SDIT). This study aims to analyze the causes of learning difficulties in Arabic and is expected to be a solution in overcoming the learning difficulties of class VIII students at MTs al Azhar Samarinda. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with data acquisition techniques of observation, interview, and literature study. The results of the study state that there are two factors that cause learning difficulties. Factors that cause learning difficulties are internal factors and external factors. Internal factors originating from students include the cognitive domain, affective domain, and psychomotor domain. While external factors that come from outside students lack varied learning methods and the use of learning media, noisy classes, and the family environment.
