The purpose of this study is to find out the implementation of flash card media and its effect on children aged 4-5 years. The research subjects amounted to 17 children aged 4-5 years in Group A at RA Muslimat NU 21 Malang school. The data analysis of this study is a descriptive statistical test to find the mean, and use the Kolmogorov-smirnov normality test, then test the hypothesis using the t-test. The results of this study show that the application of flash card media is very important to introduce letters. During the experimental process, the researcher together with the teacher organized the learning skillfully in the application of flash card media. First, the introduction of letters to children through the designation of letters on the card. At this stage, researchers do a lot of introducing letter symbols to children by showing pictures of letters as listed in flash cards, one by one slowly. Then make a game with flash card media. At this stage, researchers make games with students in a group. After the application of flash card media, the average score was 63.76 and categorized as very high at 88%. Posttest inferential statistical analysis obtained tcount (12.48) ˃ ttable (1.745) at 0.05. It can be concluded that the use of flash card media can affect the ability to recognize letters in children aged 4-5 years.
