<p>This study intends to analiyze and identify the role of prinscipals in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTsN) in Indonesia. The reseach is significant in providing insights for school principals and polymakers to determine appropriate strategies for improving the quality of education. A qualitative reseach method with a systematic literature review approach was employed, with data collected through an analysis of 19 articles relevant to the role of principals in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri in Indonesia. The findings reveal that the principal’s roles as a motivator, innovator, manager, and supervisor positively enhance education quality, despite certain challenges and obstacles. <p>Quality education requires effective leadership in creating a conducive learning environment and motivating teachers to achieve optimal performance. This article outlines the important role of leadership in education, focusing on the principal as the main leader in the school environment. Through a literature review, this article highlights the seven main roles of school principals, including as educators, managers, administrators, supervisors, leaders, entrepreneurs, and builders of a conducive school climate. In addition, this article discusses the role of the principal as a motivator to improve teacher performance, by designing a supportive school environment, arranging a harmonious work atmosphere, instilling discipline, providing encouragement, and giving rewards to teachers. Finally, this article emphasizes the importance of teacher professionalism and performance in determining the quality of education, by strengthening competency standards that teachers must have in professional, pedagogical, social and personality competencies. Effective school principal leadership in motivating and supporting teachers can increase their professionalism and performance, which in turn will improve the quality of education and student success.</p>Wildan Azizy Humaira

<p><em>The implementation of a quality culture in educational settings plays a significant role in enhancing learning quality and shaping students' character. SMP Bustanul Makmur Banyuwangi strives to integrate a quality culture across all aspects of the school to create a conducive learning environment oriented toward educational improvement. The background of this study is the need for private schools to improve educational quality amidst resource limitations and environmental challenges. The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of a quality culture at SMP Bustanul Makmur Banyuwangi, focusing on the roles of school leadership, parental involvement, and educational quality measurement in supporting character development. This study employs a qualitative case study approach, involving interviews, observations, and document analysis to obtain in-depth data on quality culture practices at this school. The study results indicate that the school principal’s leadership based on good governance principles, the measurement of educational quality through student satisfaction surveys, and parental involvement play significant roles in building a quality culture. Additionally, the implementation of character education through religious routines and local value-based activities effectively instills discipline, responsibility, and empathy in students. The novelty of this research lies in exploring quality culture in a private school setting through a holistic approach, focusing not only on academic achievement but also on students' character development</em>.</p>Nawalul Mutawakkil

<p><em>The External Quality Assurance System (SPME) is a mechanism designed to ensure that educational institutions comply with the National Education Standards (SNP) through assessments conducted by external bodies such as BAN-PT for universities and BAN-S/M for schools/madrasas. SPME aims to provide quality assurance to the public by evaluating key aspects such as governance, curriculum quality, educator competence, infrastructure, and user satisfaction. This study uses literature review techniques to analyze various secondary sources such as journals, articles, and official documents related to the implementation of SPME in educational institutions. Data were analyzed using a content analysis approach to identify the implementation of SPME. The research findings revealed that SPME not only functions as a performance evaluation tool for educational institutions but also as a strategic guideline in building a sustainable quality culture. SPME enables educational institutions to address weaknesses, improve the quality of their services, and strengthen their competitiveness at the national and international levels. <p>The effectiveness of madrasah supervision activities is an activity that needs to be carried out to see and evaluate the performance of an educational organization. Managerial supervision in its implementation still does not have a significant effect in improving the performance of educational organizations due to several obstacles. Therefore, researchers are interested in researching the implementation of managerial supervision in educational units and the influence of managerial supervision as a tool to improve the performance of educational organizations so that later learning activities can run as expected. This article was written using a literature review method through various sources to obtain data and information. The sources studied in preparing this scientific article were books, journals and articles on several online websites. The aim of writing this article is to carry out a case study and provide understanding to educational supervisors regarding managerial supervision in improving the organizational performance of teachers at Madrasah Aliyah. In conclusion, the implementation of managerial supervision at Madrasah Aliyah has an important influence, especially in terms of improving the performance of educational organizations and there are several ways that can be done to increase the effectiveness of the implementation of managerial supervision at Madrasah Aliyah.</p>Anis Choirun Niswah
